Hemi Rudner left the kibbutz for the big city with a notebook for his songs and a guitar on his back. Eifo HaYeled (“Where’s the Kid?”), the band he had started in the kibbutz, had broken up, and the future looked uncertain. Years would pass before the band would reunite and top the charts with their debut album Zman Sukkar (“Sugar Time”). 30 years later, the members of Eifo HaYeled—Hemi Rudner, Ofir Bar-Ami, Asaf Maroz, and Asaf Sarig—revisit the greatest hits from that album, now an Israeli rock milestone.
Docutext Festival invites you to join them as they recount the struggles and triumphs of making this unforgettable album in the film “The Albums: Sugar Time.” After the screening, see Eifo HaYeled live in an exclusive concert with special guest Yermi Kaplan. The band will perform all the songs from Zman Sukkar and other hits from their repertoire.
